Samuel L. Jackson made an appearance on KTLA this morning to promote his latest film, “RoboCop” and the end result is one of the most awkward interviews to have ever taken place in the history of entertainment. Jackson was being interviewed by entertainment anchor Sam Rubin when Rubin went on to ask Jackson about his latest Super Bowl commercial. The problem? Jackson wasn’t in a Super Bowl commercial. Actor Laurence Fishburne was. The saga unfolded for viewers on live TV where an understandably perturbed Jackson proceeded to go off on Rubin. The news anchor attempted to backpedal and apologize but the actor wouldn’t let him off quite so easy. “I am not Laurence Fishburne!” The actor declared before he proceeded to tear into Rubin. “You’re the entertainment reporter for this station and you don’t know the difference between me and Laurence Fishburne? There must be a very short line for your job outside then.” Ouch.
