After being found with a heroine needle still attached in his arm as well as numerous bags of heroine in his apartment, most would assume Philip Seymour Hoffman’s death was caused by a drug overdose. But according to his autopsy, the root behind his death will continue to remain a mystery… for now.

USA Today reported that the medical examiners office released information regarding Hoffman’s death explaining his autopsy was inconclusive. More tests are scheduled to be done in order to discover what killed the 46-year-old actor. Julie Bolcer, a spokeswoman for the New York City medical examiner’s office, says there isn’t a timetable for the completion of toxicology and other testing that will be done of Hoffman’s body.

On Tuesday (Feb. 4) four alleged drug dealers were arrested in New York, who may have been connected to the death of Hollywoods beloved Hoffman.

For now, a private funeral will be held in New York Friday for Philip Seymour Hoffman. For grieving fans, a public memorial is in the works for later this month.
